To record a transaction, choose "Data Entry" from the menu, and then choose whether you need to record your information as a check, deposit, sale, or general journal.

The software will automatically enter your offsetting information (for example, if you record that you wrote a check to pay a supplier, the software will enter a matching amount in “expenses” )
